HELIX manufactures plastification screws and cylinders for plastics machinery according to client specifications for the use in plastic extruders or injection moulding machines.

HELIX is specialised in producing screws with a diameter of 10 to 100 mm with a length of up to 3000 mm.

In the field of plastics extrusion, there is an increasing demand for sophisticated barrier geometries and mixing and shearing parts.

HELIX has the capability of manufacturing screws with very complicated barrier and mixing zones very precisely and rationally by using a software specifically developed for this purpose - including even the smallest of screw diameters.

Small twin screws, either conical or cylindrical, are also part of the HELIX range of products.

The manufactured materials range from standard materials like nitrided steel and fully-hardened tooling steels to abrasion resistant tooling steels or special alloys like Hastelloy® or Inconell® for wear protected applications.

HELIX produces cylinders made of nitrided steel and bimetallic cylinders up to a length of 4000 mm according to client specifications. HELIX can deliver these cylinders with axial and also helical grooves.

In addition to applying grooves in the feeding section, HELIX can also apply grooves over the entire length of a cylinder as is done in the Helibar® cylinder.
