The continuous development of new plastics and the corresponding fillers prove to be a growing challenge for wear protection of the components of plastification units.

Particularly the high pressures occurring in the area of the grooved barrels make the wear protection of such components necessary.

With the special HELIX grooving technology it is now also possible to apply available wear protection materials into grooved barrels without any limitations regarding the form or the length of the groove:
